BMW Driver kills taxi passenger on East Lancs Road in dangerous accident

A woman passenger travelling in a private Ford Mondeo taxi died sadly after an early morning 5am accident caused by the recklessness of a BMW driver.

The taxi driver is still in a critical condition at the local hospital.

The 26 year old BMW driver from St Helens was arrested by the Police and is being charged with suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The fatal accident occurred at 5.10am on the junction of the East Lancs Road (A580) and Stonebridge Lane in Croxteth.

All the individuals in both cars were taken for medical treatment and thereafter the female taxi passenger succumbed to her wounds, claiming her life.

The police questioned the drivers and confirmed news of the death.

Familes are still awaiting for the male taxi driver who is in a critical condition in hospital.

The BMW driver has been arrested and charged with dangerous driving and causing serious injury.
Many accidents on the eastbound carriageway exiting Liverpool is very busy with motorists and regular incidents occurring.

Police always are on the lookout for witnesses to the collision.
